EXHIBITION CONTRACT
 
(Also referred to as LOAN AGREEMENT) Previously mailed with the acceptance letter and WAC should have received.  Please note that the exhibition will now close on Wednesday, May 19, 2010.
  

QUILT PREPARATION
 
Please be sure to attach a label and 4” exhibit hanging sleeve to the back of each quilt. Include any specific hanging instructions for the installer with the quilt. Typed and illustrated or photo information is appreciated.
  

SHIPPED DELIVERY DATES: MARCH 22 – 26, 2010
HAND-DELIVERY DATES: MARCH 22 – 24, 2010, 9AM – 5PM
RETURN SHIPMENTS: MAY 20 – JUNE 11
HAND-RETURN DELIVERY: JUNE 4 – 11, 2010, 9AM – 5PM
(note pick-up dates previously June 7 – 14)
  

You MUST include a PRE-PAID FEDEX or UPS MAILING LABEL with your quilt(s) in order for your piece to be shipped back. Checks written out to Wayne Art Center are acceptable but shipping delays may occur.

If you are picking up your quilt in person you must pick up your quilt(s) between June 4 through June 11 from 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. You, the artist must check in with a WAC staff member or AQE volunteer and sign out your piece. If someone else is coming to retrieve your quilt(s), you must have a letter of authorization and a photo id. WAC will not accept responsibility or liability for your artwork after June 11, 2010 if it still remains on the WAC property.

OPENING RECEPTION
 
Saturday, April 17, 2010
6:00 – 7:00 PM Private Reception for AQE Artists, Business Sponsors and Patrons, AQE Committee
7:00 – 9:00 PM Open to the public. A cash bar and appetizers will be available.
  

CATALOG
 
The catalog will be available at the opening weekend. If you are attending the opening reception, you will receive your catalog at that time. Otherwise, you will receive your complimentary copy with the return of your quilt. Additional copies are available through WAC for $25.00 (including tax) plus shipping. POSTCARDS
 
Enclosed are the AQE 2010 postcards. Please distribute to interested organizations and individuals. If you choose to mail, you must place a 44 cent stamp on top of the indicia. Also consider announcing the AQE 2010 exhibition on your emails and websites for extended publicity, www.artquiltelements.com.
  

HOTELS
 
The Radnor and Wayne Hotel are once again major business sponsors of the AQE exhibition and catalog publication. Both hotels are just minutes from the Wayne Art Center and are offering discounts rates for the AQE artists. All guests must refer to ArtQuilt Elements when placing their reservations. You must contact their reservations department directly to be eligible for this special rate. The reservations office may be reached between the hours of 8 am to 8 pm at (610) 688-5800 or toll-free at (800) 537-3000. These rates are not available on line. These rates will not be available after April 1, 2010.

The special group rate is $119.00 per night for rooms with a king size bed and $129 for rooms with two double beds. All rooms are subject to current 6% state tax and 2 % local tax. These rates are non-commissionable.

GALLERY SHOP
 
AQE 2010 artists are invited to consign small works in the WAC Gallery Shop. If interested, ship 1-5 pieces in the same box but separated from your exhibition quilt(s). You MUST fill out the enclosed Gallery Shop Inventory Sheet and have all Gallery Shop work individually marked with retail price and your name and coded (see inventory sheet for explanation). Otherwise work will NOT be displayed in Gallery Shop. WAC will retail 35% of the retail sale if work is sold. Artists will be paid approximately 30 days after the close of the exhibition.
  

SAQA SYMPOSIUM
